James Bendon’s book “GREAT BRITAIN USED IN MOROCCO”
I am pleased to inform you that James Bendon’s book covering the un-overprinted British postage stamps and postal stationery used by the British postal service in Morocco has now been published.
The book covers the 1857–1885 period when the Queen Victoria GB stamps and stationery were used and then the 1937–1949 period when King George V & King George VI unoverprinted stamps and Postal Stationery were used .
There are also extensive appendices covering the later overprinted stamps and stationery used.
The book provides an excellent in-depth coverage of the subject, with extensive detail, covering the history of the subject, from the origins of the British Post Offices in Morocco during the reign of Queen Victoria right through to their closure in the late 1950’s during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and is recommended to the many GBOS members who collect Morocco Agencies.
